1. Event: Gambaro!! Tohoku Region Products Exhibition

Chubu Branch and Tohoku Branch of Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation (SMRJ) will hold the “Gambaro!! Tohoku Region Products Exhibition” at Nagoya Matsuzakaya Department Store from May 25th to 29th, 2011, with the objective of contributing to the reconstruction of the areas damaged by the Tohoku Earthquake.



This regional products exhibition aims to provide a foothold for the economic recovery in the affected areas by supporting demand creation as well as promoting regional products from the affected areas, through the sales of such products, including certified products under the “Act on the Promotion of New Business Activities”, “Act on the Promotion of Regional Resource Utilization”, and “Act on the Promotion of Agri-Commerce-Industry Collaboration” in the six prefectures of the Tohoku region (Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata and Fukushima).

Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation (SMRJ) sincerely look forward to having many visitors to this exhibition.

2. Products to be exhibited
The main items exhibited at this event will be products that are manufactured through Advanced Corporate Networking, Regional Resource Utilization, and Agri-Commerce-Industry Collaboration in the six prefectures of the Tohoku region (Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata and Fukushima).

【What is Advanced Corporate Networking?】
To create new business fields by carrying out new business activities through organic collaboration and sharing management resources of multiple SMEs from different industries.

【What is Regional Resource Utilization?】
To create demands by developing and manufacturing products/ services through utilization of regional resources by SMEs, such as agricultural & marine products, tourism resources or production technologies that could be important advantages to the regions.

【What is Agri-Commerce-Industry Collaboration?】
To create demands by developing and manufacturing attractive products/ services through cooperation between agri-forestry-fishery industries and commercial industries beyond their regular business transactions, using each other’s strengths.
