1.Report: Greater Nagoya Initiative Mission to UK and France


Greater Nagoya Initiative (GNI) sent a mission to London, UK and Paris, France (Mar.21st-26th) for promoting Greater Nagoya’s aerospace industry. The GNI mission team visited ADS Group Ltd. in London, the University of Bristol, GKN Aerospace Composites Research Centre in Bristol for enhancing networking within the global aerospace industry.

Seminar at JETRO London Center

On the first day of the mission, an aerospace seminar was held for the promotion of foreign direct investment (FDI) to Greater Nagoya, promotion of technical alliances between UK and Japanese companies and to foster business partnerships. Attendees from the Dept. of Business, Innovation & Skills, BAE Systems Regional Aircraft, Farnborough Aerospace Consortium was listening about the environment of investment in Greater Nagoya. GNI also aimed for further development of the aerospace industry in the region. At the end of seminar GNI shared information on participation at the Farnborough Airshow. Representatives of about 30 Aerospace and aero-parts companies in Japan will be at the Airshow to seek more opportunities for international business networks.

The second half of mission, the members traveled to Paris and visited the Val d’Oise Economic Expansion Comittee’s (CEEVO), and shared some thoughts with Mr. Louis RISTIC, CEO from Groupe CERAM AERO. The mission members also visited CEFIVAL S.A., that already has great relationships with business organizations in Greater Nagoya.
