Greater Nagoya Aerospace Europe Mission 2013
This year Greater Nagoya Initiative (GNI) will send a mission to Europe to enhance the relationship with our important European associates. First, the GNI will participate in the 50th International Paris Air Show in conjunction with related organizations and groups such as Greater Nagoya’s Aerospace companies, Nagoya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Chubu Bureau of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. At the show, the GNI will promote the Greater Nagoya region and provide information about the region’s aerospace industry as well as enhance our global network and conducting the business matchings. Secondly, the GNI will visit two key business development related organizations; Bretagne International in Rennes and EMC2 cluster in Nantes. Especially EMC2 Cluster is the center of development of advanced composite material in France. GNI will visit it to exchange views and build relationships with research institutes and understand the cluster of local companies. Since 2009, Greater Nagoya Initiative (GNI) has sent a mission to the International Paris Air Show, which is held every odd year, and the Farnborough International Airshow (UK), held in even-numbered years, the world’s two largest aviation shows. |
1. Objective
Each year since 2009, the Greater Nagoya Initiative (GNI) has sent a mission to international aviation shows in Europe to support Japanese companies and to accelerate overseas operations and promote the region, which is the center of the Aerospace Special Zone and the major Aerospace cluster of Japan.
This year the GNI will hold the Symposium Greater Nagoya Aerospace 2013 during the 50th International Paris Air Show with the support of Comité d’Expansion Economique du Val d’Oise (CEEVO). During the symposium, the GNI will introduce Greater Nagoya’s companies and to attract national governments, major companies and clusters all over the world into the GN region, and in doing so, improve global economic relations between key organizations and GNI.
As one of the activities that enhance global relationships, business matching will be done in collaboration with Comité d’Expansion Economique du Val d’Oise (CEEVO). Both GNI and CEEVO have enhanced the mutual relations and strengthened economic ties by the exchange of views and with business matching with local companies in Val d’Oise (Comité d’Expansion Economique du Val d’Oise), who are deepening economic ties with Greater Nagoya’s companies.
Moreover, the GNI will also visit the EMC2 cluster, the center of development of advanced composite material located in Nantes, France, to improve the industrial advances of GN region and help the region serve as an international hub. There GNI will also discuss methods to develop relationships between the cluster and research institutes such as the National Composite Center in Nagoya University and local companies in GN region.
