We produce and market traditional wooden box-shaped cups called "masu". Our shop, Masu Kobo Masuya, sells unique masu products and offers customers a chance to try making their own masu.
Masu were originally created as measuring containers for rice and have been part of Japan"s rice culture for more than 1,000 years. Today, they"re also used for drinking sake and as containers for beans used in Japan"s annual Setsubun bean-scattering ritual. Ohashi Ryoki develops unique masu for today"s lifestyles.
